Description

We calculated the decay widths of hybrid mesons [1], considered as hadrons that carry both quark-antiquark and gluon degrees of freedom.
In the construction of hybrid wave functions we  follow the coupling scheme adopted for gluelump studies [2], in which the energy spectrum of gluelumps, which are the states obtained by considering a gluon field bound a static color octet (given for example by the quark-antiquark pair), were calculated by means of a mean-field approach based on Coulomb Gauge QCD.
In the last decades, experimental evidence for states which cannot be explained within the quark model framework has accumulated, especially in the heavy quark sector (see Particle Data Group 3). For this reason, our decay width predictions should be of great interest for the experimental community.
